Several people were shot on the platform of a subway station in Brooklyn, New York City on Tuesday, April 12, reports The New York Times. At least 13 people were injured in the incident, including five by the gunshots, according to the spokesperson for the fire department, who also found “several untriggered explosive devices”, relay The Washington Post.

According to the New York Times, investigators “are trying to determine the source of the smoke present in the station and whether explosive devices were detonated at the time of the shots”. The police are looking for a suspect.

The episode took place at the 36th Street station in the Sunset Park neighborhood during the morning rush hour.
