Guro-gu is starting to create a ‘Garden City Guro’ that is full of life 365 days a year. Guro-gu (Chief Mun Mun-il) is accelerating the creation of a dignified ‘Garden City of Guro’, a street people want to walk on 365 days a year.
Starting with the charm garden created at the district office square on the 18th of last month, the district is creating gardens to see, gardens to walk in, and gardens to accompany throughout Guro-gu this year.
First, ‘the garden I want to see’. Create high-quality gardens in the areas of parks, green spaces, and rivers, and expand green spaces and rest areas for living by discovering hidden garden sites.
Gardens, rest areas, and walking trails will be created through the Onsu Neighborhood Park (Teetgol District, Munhak District, Sports District) construction project, climate-responsive urban forest construction project, and Guro Neighborhood Park redevelopment project. In particular, a book shelter is planned to be built in the literary district of Onsu Neighborhood Park next year.
In addition, next to Ogeum Bridge on the right bank of Anyangcheon, the region’s first riverside picnic camping site will be built, allowing people to enjoy a picnic by car. It is planned to be composed of four themes: a waterside teaknic lounge with 10 teaknic zones, a play lounge where you can enjoy flowers and trees, a step lounge with the first concession stand in the river, and a campnic lounge where you can set up a tent.
In addition, while carrying out the roadside green space expansion project at 3 locations including Gaebong-dong 74-1, the strip green space maintenance project on Jungang-ro in Gocheok 1-dong, and the Anyang Stream ecological restoration and greening project, theme flower beds are being decorated to break away from monotony.
Efforts are also being made to expand urban green space. A park including a forest playground will be created on the unused site of the Cheonwangsan Family Campground, a green area will be created through a living garden creation project using empty houses in Guro-dong, and a garden will also be planted on the roof of the Guro-gu Council.
Next is the ‘garden you want to walk in’. Connect disconnected green spaces with flower paths and green paths that bloom in all four seasons, such as establishing a park green space network in the southwestern region. In the area of Mt. 11-1, Onsu-dong, a circular trail that can go around Waryongsan Mountain’s Onsu Valley will be built and a forest path will be maintained.
Meanwhile, daisy and viola flower heads were distributed twice to the community center, allowing residents to get closer to flowers, and at the Oryu Interchange (IC) Urban Agriculture Experience Center, crops were grown not only for viewing but also for children to experience. We pursue a ‘garden of companionship’ by providing opportunities.
