Meanwhile, Guro-gu has decided to strengthen cooperation with G Tower Co., Ltd. to improve the pedestrian environment in the area of Digital-ro 26-gil.
Guro-gu and G-Tower signed a ‘Public Business Investment Agreement for Deposits for Digital-ro 26-gil Road Expansion’ at Guro-gu Office on October 28.
According to the agreement on this day, the two organizations decided to use the remaining balance of approximately 3.4 billion won of the project cost deposited with the district for the expansion of Digital-ro 26-gil for the development of G Valley and the creation of a safe pedestrian environment without settling it separately.
After the completion of the Digital-ro 26-gil expansion project, additional consideration was given to the traffic conditions in G Valley, where there are more pedestrians than vehicular movements.
Accordingly, starting in 2025, a public project will be promoted in two stages to improve the pedestrian environment in and around Digital-ro 26-gil and surrounding areas, such as expanding sidewalks and expanding traffic safety facilities, and to create a cultural plaza using public open space.
The design will be handled by G Tower, and the construction will be handled by Guro-gu. Acting Guro-gu Mayor Eom Eui-sik, who attended the agreement ceremony, said, “We are grateful to those who actively participated in the agreement for the public interest,” and added, “We will do our best to cooperate to create a safer and more comfortable pedestrian environment through this agreement.” .
Guro-gu and G Tower Co., Ltd. signed an ‘Agreement on the expansion of Digital-ro 26-gil according to the G-Square development project’ in November 2020, and the 333.5m section of Digital-ro 26-gil, which was previously 1-2 lanes, was recently expanded to 3 lanes. .

Interview Between Time.news Editor and Career Development Expert
Editor: Welcome to Time.news, where we delve into the most pressing topics today. Joining us is Dr. Sara Lee, an expert in youth employment initiatives. We’re excited to have you here, Dr. Lee.
Dr. Sara Lee: Thank you for having me! It’s a pleasure to be here.
Editor: Let’s dive in. Guro-gu has recently launched an innovative career support program called ‘Latte Chat’. Can you tell us more about this initiative and why it’s significant for young job seekers?
Dr. Sara Lee: Absolutely! ‘Latte Chat’ is a fantastic program aimed at bridging the gap between education and employment. It allows young people to interact directly with industry experts from various fields, which is crucial for gaining realistic job insights and practical career advice. This level of engagement not only equips them with the necessary information but also boosts their confidence when navigating the job market.
Editor: That’s interesting. The program includes contributions from a variety of experts. How does having such a diverse group of mentors benefit the participants?
Dr. Sara Lee: Diversity in mentorship is key. Each expert brings unique experiences and perspectives from different sectors, such as human resources, research and development, and brand marketing. This variety helps participants explore a broader range of career options and understand the skills and competencies needed in different fields. It strengthens their decision-making process regarding their future careers.
Editor: The ‘Latte Chat’ event also features optional programs like profile photo shoots and small group mentoring sessions. Why are these elements important in the context of career development?
Dr. Sara Lee: Great question! First impressions matter, and a professional profile photo can significantly enhance a candidate’s presence on platforms like LinkedIn. Moreover, small group mentoring allows for more personalized interaction, where participants can ask specific questions and engage in discussions tailored to their interests. These components make the experience not just informative but also interactive and supportive.
Editor: Applications for the program can be made via a QR code until November 3rd. Do you think digital applications are enhancing accessibility for young job seekers?
Dr. Sara Lee: Definitely! Utilizing technology like QR codes simplifies the application process, making it more accessible to young people who are often immersed in digital platforms. It’s a seamless way to engage them and attract interest. Plus, it aligns with their digital proficiency, streamlining the overall experience of seeking employment resources.
Editor: Guro-gu officials hope this program will provide substantial support for local youth. In your opinion, what other initiatives could complement this kind of career support?
Dr. Sara Lee: To further support young job seekers, local governments could consider partnerships with businesses to create internships and apprenticeship programs. Offering workshops on resume writing, interview techniques, and networking skills would also equip young people with the tools they need to succeed. Additionally, mentoring programs that extend beyond initial career talks into ongoing support could greatly benefit them.
Editor: Those are excellent suggestions! Collaboration seems to be a recurring theme. How important is community involvement in fostering youth employment?
Dr. Sara Lee: Community involvement is absolutely vital. When local businesses, educational institutions, and government bodies collaborate, they create a comprehensive support network for young people. This ecosystem not only provides job opportunities but also helps build soft skills, instills confidence, and promotes a culture of mentorship and growth.
Editor: Thank you, Dr. Lee, for sharing your insights on Guro-gu’s ‘Latte Chat’ program and the importance of career support initiatives. Your expertise is invaluable in understanding these developments.
Dr. Sara Lee: Thank you for having me! I hope more communities can implement similar programs to empower the youth in their areas.
