Gurugram: Houses and Buildings of Rioters Destroyed by UP; Haryana Govt Takes Bold Action

In a bold move, the government of Haryana has embarked on a mission to demolish the houses and buildings of those who participated in the recent riots that took place in the state. The riots erupted during a religious procession on July 31 in Gurugram, Haryana, when a mob started pelting stones at the procession, causing chaos and mayhem.

As tensions escalated, violence spilled over to neighboring districts, leading to a wave of arson and destruction. Government and private vehicles were set ablaze, and several incidents of vandalism were reported. Unfortunately, the violence resulted in the loss of four lives, including two policemen and volunteers from the Bajrang Dal organization.

With the situation spiraling out of control, the government had to step in to restore law and order. A total of 41 cases have been registered, and 116 individuals have been arrested for their involvement in the riots so far.

However, the Haryana government decided to take their actions a step further. In collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh police, they began demolishing the houses and buildings belonging to the rioters. Under police protection, more than 50 buildings were razed to the ground, in addition to over 10 drug shops that were associated with the rioters. The demolition took place in the Nuh district, which was severely affected by the riots.

This strong action by the Haryana government sends a clear message that those who participate in violent activities will face severe consequences. It serves as a deterrent for anyone harboring intentions to disrupt the peace and harmony of the state.

While some may argue that this approach of demolishing properties might be seen as extreme, others believe that it is a necessary step to prevent future outbreaks of violence. The government’s decision to collaborate with the UP police also emphasizes the importance of interstate cooperation in combating such issues effectively.

The people of Gurugram and other affected areas are hopeful that the demolition of these structures will serve as a warning to potential troublemakers and restore peace in the region. The government’s efforts to ensure the safety and security of its citizens are commendable, and it is crucial that such strong actions continue to protect the well-being of the general public.
