A recent road rage incident in Gurugram has reignited concerns about the city’s security system. On Saturday night, a family was chased by a group of youths in a Swift Dzire car after their cars collided on MG Road. Threats were issued, and an attempt was made to crush a young girl.
The accused repeatedly rammed their Dzire car into the victim’s Baleno car, causing significant damage. The suspects fled the scene after the incident. The DLF Sector-29 police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
The victim, Mrityunjay Singh, reported that he was driving his Baleno car with his wife and two daughters when their car brushed against a Dzire car with a temporary number plate. Despite a minor scratch on the Dzire and damage to the Baleno, the youths in the Dzire car stopped their vehicle in the middle of the road and demanded money from Singh.
When Singh and his family attempted to move forward, the accused followed them. In a crowded area, the youths parked their car in front of Singh’s vehicle and called for backup. Four youths arrived in another Dzire car, all of whom were allegedly intoxicated and lacked license plates. The suspects first argued with Singh, then proceeded to hit his car multiple times, attempting to crush his 27-year-old daughter. The incident was captured on video by Singh’s family.
