jpnn.comJAKARTA – Deputy Chairman of the MPR Jazilul Fawaid emphasized the importance of the values contained in Pancasila to face challenges and changes in the future.

Especially in the era of disruption like today when society’s orientation is more towards pragmatism, even though the current era is different from the past, the values in Pancasila still apply.

“This is a challenge in facing the era of disruption. The values (contained in Pancasila) must not change. These values, such as honesty, courage, and responsibility, should be reflected in state administrators,” said Jazilul Fawaid or familiarly called Gus Jazil.

Gus Jazil conveyed this when opening the Socialization of the Four Pillars of the MPR which was combined with the Convention and Declaration of the Pancasila Kridatama Assembly, in the Delegation Room, Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday (26/8).

Gus Jazil said that Indonesia has noble values contained in Pancasila that can be applied anywhere.

“Although there are only five principles, Pancasila can unite strength from Sabang to Merauke. With Pancasila, various religions and beliefs can live side by side in Indonesia. The value of unity existed before Indonesia was born,” he explained.

According to Gus Jazil, the values in Pancasila are or originate from the peak of Indonesian culture.

Pancasila has become something that lives and is the basis for every stage of the journey of the Indonesian nation.
