jpnn.com – PBNU General Chairman KH Yahya Cholil Staquf (Gus Yahya) received a full mandate from PBNU Rais Aam KH Miftachul Akhyar to immediately improve PKB, Tuesday (13/8).
Previously, hundreds of kiai gathered at the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School and agreed to give the ‘Tebuireng Mandate’ to the Rais Aam of PBNU to “dress up” the PKB.
“Yesterday, the Kiai gathered (at the Tebuireng Islamic boarding school). To explore issues related to the relationship between PBNU and PKB,” said Gus Yahya.
After receiving the ‘Tebuireng Mandate’, Rais Aam PBNU KH Miftachul Ahyar today summoned the General Chairperson of PBNU KH Yahya Cholil Staquf who happened to be in Surabaya.
“Earlier, I received a direct order from Rais Aam to follow up on the reports from the kiai,” said Gus Yahya.
Gus Yahya admitted that he would immediately formulate a number of steps to improve PKB before the party holds its congress.
According to Gus Yahya, the problem between PKB and PBNU is actually not new. So far, the relationship between PBNU and PKB has been going well.
However, since PKB was led by Muhaimin, or for 15 years, the relationship between PBNU and PKB has not been good.
