The Secretary General of the United Nations António Guterres strongly expressed that the time has come to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip, and he asked the parties to reach an agreement.
Guterres wrote on the “X” platform: “It is time to end the terrible war in the Gaza Strip. It is time for the parties to show political courage and political will to finally reach an agreement.”
He added that this process must begin with an immediate ceasefire and the unconditional release of all hostages.
The President of the United States Joe Biden announced on Friday that the Zionist entity and Hamas had agreed to the framework of the agreement for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the exchange of detainees.
Security sources reported that occupied Authority Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu added new demands to the armistice and hostage exchange agreement that would complicate or even block the negotiations.
Hamas also delayed Netanyahu and said in a statement: “The occupation continues its policy of procrastination to gain time to block this round of negotiations, as it has done in previous rounds.”
