Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller, wife of the president Lopez Obradoryesterday attended the inauguration of the new president of Panama, Jose Raul Mulinowho will govern from 2024 to 2029.

On behalf of the Mexican president, Gutierrez Muller transmitted to the president mill congratulations on his electoral victory and wished him success in his administration.
He also reiterated the willingness of the Government of Mexico to continue strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation with Panama, while highlighting the excellent cooperation between both nations.

The President’s Wife Lopez Obrador and the Mexican delegation also met with the president of the Republic of Colombia, Gustavo Petrowith whom they discussed the search and identification activities for the remains of the general Jose Maria Melo y Ortiz, located in the community of Juncaná, Chiapas, as well as those of Catarino Erasmo Garza and his companions, in Bocas del Toro, Panama, where he died on March 8, 1895.
Meanwhile, this year, Mexico and Panama commemorate 120 years the establishment of diplomatic relations, an anniversary that reaffirms the brotherhood between the two countries, cemented by historical and cultural ties.
