Guy Shikar from the survivor talks about everything: “I have an aversion to liars”

by time news

He hadn’t seen Survival before and didn’t prepare physically, but Guy Shikar, the 7th evicted of Survival (airs on Network 13 on Sundays, Wednesdays and Saturdays) managed to get back into the game on the island of the dead. In a conversation with mynet, he reveals details from the island, tells what was most difficult for him and proudly says: “Even though I am 49 years old, I have brought respect in terms of victories relative to my age.”

About two years ago, Shikar, who worked in the capital market as an employee in senior positions, decided to embark on a new path as a freelancer. “As a freelancer, I discovered that one of the biggest difficulties is that suddenly you are anonymous and you are not known. The difficulty of advertising and awareness, I saw a business opportunity but I realized that I would expose, and my heart would come out and I would be seen on TV. And that would do me good,” he shares.

We are conducting the interview just after he returned from the seven of Guy Zo-Ertz’s father with Alit Musayouf. Shikar says: “I can’t walk in the street. I was with Alit at seven, and his son told me, ‘All the kids in the class are talking about you.’ Everyone asked Alit if she was Guy’s little sister [זו ארץ]. No less well-known Alit. I get recognized – and that opens doors.”

“When I am self-employed, I manage the clients’ pensions – take the money and double it. The problem in this field – if there is no business card of a large company on the back, it is very difficult. See that I am an actor of truth and heart, this helps me. The most important thing is trust.” .

Did you prepare for survival like other survivors?

“I wish I had prepared. I can say that everyone prepared. I will exceed what is allowed – people say – everyone made preparations, there is no one who did not say that they took an acting course, an NLP course, I did not make any preparation. I think that those who reach survival should make preparations. I I’ve never seen survival before. The minimum is to understand where you’re going, it’s not just physical, it’s a game of lies, intrigue and manipulation. There were some difficult moments.”

Shikar, a father of two from Ramat Hasharon, was first assigned to the Baybian tribe and a member of LAlit Musayouf and Casey Zapata who were not part of the grand alliance of Doreen DotanSahar Cohen, Maya KayNebo Shamir andrainbow sapphire. His tribe lost many missions that led to the expulsion of members of the tribe – including them Maor Shushan And Nebo Shamir who chose to withdraw from the program, and Tanya Lauren who switched clans with Doreen. Shikar was the ninth evicted, but managed to return from the island of the dead.
In the episode of the last prize task, Shikar lied that he won the task, went with his heart – and let four contestants receive letters from home. He chose three mothers – Natasha Khalil, Alit andGal Robin, And Dorin Dotan. “I said to myself – you give first of all to three mothers who are the most deserving, the fourth choice was Dorin Dotan – because in our terms there are ‘leftovers, there are legal heirs and there are beneficiaries’. Dorin had her husband and for me it was a very close relationship. Her husband also had a birthday. I went with my heart and not with strategies, it wasn’t some kind of flattering move. Purely from the heart. If you asked about the preparations – 80 percent heart 20 percent strategy,” explains Shikar.

What was the hardest thing for you on the island?

“People are hypocritical liars. I have an aversion to people who are liars. In the game you have to make a distinction. In the game you have to lie. I was once on a trip to India and they explained to us that India does not have the word lie in the dictionary. They have 7 types of truths, there is truth, absolute truth, they don’t have the word A lie. What happens in survival has a level of lies and manipulations. There are lies that can be contained and there are emotional manipulations of such and such stories, and all kinds of conflicts which is also a level. It sucks.

“Imagine that in Survivor you see Casey going to Tal and telling him that Aviram and Gal want to oust him. He doesn’t know what the truth is. Under the conditions of the game, we only have a bathing suit. The hardest thing is the quarrelsome ones, the gossipers who make jokes from a bad place. There are people who have the ability to create conflicts. I wouldn’t be able to do such things.”

“I lied, there is a difference between lying and arguing. I am neither a stage actor nor a theater actor and there are those who are. If I were to go to survival again I would take an acting course in front of a camera or two courses in NLP. Today I say well done to them.”

At the beginning of the show, your tribe suffered many losses. why did this happen?

“You have to call the child by his name, Dorin took command there/took over. She was on the verge of ousting Maor. In my opinion, this is a terrible decision, it’s a mistake. And I criticized her decision. Dorin together with Sahar make a decision to oust a man. The stupidest decision she starts in the episode The first survivor, the first friend I connected with was Maor. He is the closest to me in age. In fact, Sahar Cohen gave up a good soldier, with strong hands.”

The last win in the prize mission episode was Guy Shikar’s fifth win. “Even though I am 49 years old, I have brought honor in terms of victories relative to my age. On a physical level, I have contributed to the tribe. And also personal tasks,” he says proudly.

What are people saying about your struggle?

“People send messages on Instagram. And I discovered that there are people who really see it as a hobby, like soccer addicts, they are like fans of this format. People call me to come to their house and watch the episode. It’s like inviting a soccer player to watch a game.”

Maybe it’s time.

“Maybe I’ll do it for the sport. I wasn’t aware of it, I don’t watch reality TV. But now I see because I’m curious. Even this sharing, if I sit in front of survival alone, I won’t enjoy it.”

You came back from the dead with blood in your eyes.

“My strategy was to show anger towards the Babyin tribe in order to connect with the Tagalog tribe from a clean place, that they would think I was angry with them. I had a conversation with Casey after I came back to the game, I sat with her in the sea, and I said to her ‘no one saw that we were talking’, and she laughed. And I say to her, ‘Now you and I can make an alliance without anyone being suspicious.’ But this conversation was not shown. It’s a funny conversation that if they showed it, it would correspond with my character, because they made me funny. Everyone thinks I’m ‘hot’ on you and we’re the best in the alliance.”

About Casey’s betrayal, he says: “From Casey, I felt sadness and hurt, but it’s not anger that erupts, it’s the sadness and companionship of someone who was interested in my life, and I in hers. There was chemistry as friends, we had many conversations together. Between 40 minutes and an hour. We would enter Every morning to the beach and every opportunity we would talk. We really clicked. And you know that someone is interested in your private life. You expect that such a person will not betray at such central stages of the game.”

“In the end it’s not just how to get to the finals – it’s who you want to get to the finals with. Everyone likes people and dislikes people. There is a different consideration in the union. You don’t want to get to the union with someone who is very popular, they will vote for him and not you.

“At the early stage, it was a jarring betrayal against a background of real friendship. Casey and I are friends in Israel. She is the only one I felt the friendship with. Elit and I are also in a great relationship, but the conversations with Elit were more strategic. She would lead conversations about the game. With Casey it was the other way around – 90 percent about life and 10 percent about strategy.”

“I heard about the fights, I don’t go to bed sick. I think Doreen has a big mouth, she doesn’t stay in debt, and on the other hand, Gal is a good actress as a survivor, but from her point of view, she thinks that the game in Israel continues. Here in Israel, we need camaraderie, we need friendship. I personally don’t take sides , both Doreen and Gal are lovely girls, I think neither of them needs an advocate, and neither of them is far from being right.”

And for the questions, Shikar is not currently in a relationship. “I am looking for a woman with brown eyes, straight and black hair who will be beautiful [צוחק]. First of all, be smiling, know how to look at the glass half full, without anger, I don’t associate with anger. I like happy women, and beyond that there must be external attraction. My motto in life is to instill joy and success.”
