Gwalior: The highways around the city are proving to be a highway of accidents. Four members of a family were killed in an auto-truck collision yesterday. On Friday morning, an uncontrolled truck crushed motorcyclists, resulting in the death of a brother-sister and a one-and-a-half-year-old child. A girl child was injured in this accident. She was sent to the hospital for treatment hours after the accident. The victim’s family has accused the administration of brutality.
The surprising thing is that this incident happened between Adupura and Sikrauda at 9 am. But the police reached the spot at 12 noon. The deceased were lying on the road for 3 hours. The injured girl kept screaming for help. People sat on the road to protest against such apathy of the administration. Due to which there was a traffic jam of several kilometers on both sides of Jhansi highway. Seeing the apathy of the administration, the family members burst out in anger.
People allege that the police showed brutality and beat up the members of the victim’s family. They say that they reached the spot after getting the news of their family members’ accident. No officer or employee was present there. The local villagers somehow sent information to the senior officials. After this, Sirol police station in-charge Alok Bhadoria reached there and beat up the brother of the deceased Karan Kushwaha.
After persuasion, the family agreed
Another police officer came to support Alok Bhadoria. He also threatened the victim’s family. This caused anger among the local people and the victim’s family. They blocked the road and sat on it. Their only demand was that Alok Bhadoria should be removed from the police station. As soon as the information about the incident was received, administrative officers and police officers reached the spot. After a lot of persuasion, they got the blockade opened.
