Gwyneth Paltrow and Anne Hathaway Attend The British Fashion Awards 2023
The British Fashion Awards 2023 were a star-studded affair, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Anne Hathaway rubbing shoulders with the fashion elite at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall on Monday evening. The event, which was presented by jewellery brand Pandora, celebrated 16 awards and was attended by leading designers, artists, creatives, and tastemakers.
Gwyneth, 51, and Anne, 41, were seen mingling with the likes of Giancarlo Giammetti of fashion house Valentino and Princess Georgina Brandolini d’Adda. Gwyneth turned heads in a strapless red maxi dress by Valentino, while Anne looked sensational in a plunging cream Valentino gown with an eye-catching fringe.
The awards ceremony kicked off in style with a performance from METTE’s Pandora, followed by a performance from Sam Smith, who was honored with the Cultural Innovator Award. The event also paid tribute to fashion icons and industry figures, including Dame Vivienne Westwood and the late Joe Casely-Hayford.
The winners for the various awards were announced, with notable figures such as Valentino Garavani, Charlotte Tilbury, and Sam Smith receiving recognition for their contributions to the fashion industry. The awards also went back to having gender-based design awards for the first time since the pandemic, splitting the best British designers into menswear and womenswear categories.
The British Fashion Awards serve as the main fundraiser for the BFC Foundation, supporting the future growth and success of the British fashion industry through education, grant-giving, and business mentoring.
The evening ended with a DJ set by Skepta at the afterparty, with guests like Kate Moss, Amal Clooney, and several other celebrities walking the red carpet.
The event was hosted by British broadcaster Maya Jama and musical artist Kojey Radical, and was a night to remember for the global fashion community as they celebrated the best of British fashion.
