Gypsy Rose Blanchard ⁣is speaking candidly⁣ about her love ⁢life after prison.

In‌ a new⁢ interview with PEOPLE, Blanchard opened up about what allegedly transpired behind closed doors with ‍her now ex-husband, Ryan scott Anderson, leading to ‍their separation.

"I still struggled when I first came out of ⁤prison," Blanchard told the outlet of‍ her sex life after being released from ⁤Missouri’s chillicothe Correctional Facility, where she served 8 years of ‌a 10-year sentence‌ for her role⁣ in the murder of her mother,⁢ Dee Dee Blanchard.‌

However, Blanchard is now retracting previous statements about their intimacy. She told PEOPLE, ⁢ "Ryan and my‌ sex life was not ideal.I told ⁢him⁢ privately.⁢ Maybe it was a⁤ lack‌ of attraction in that area or if I still‍ wasn’t processing properly."

Blanchard’s comments‍ coincide ‌with the news that she has officially finalized her ​divorce from Anderson, as reported by‍ TMZ.

Blanchard delved deeper into her post-prison relationships and experiences ⁢with sexuality in her forthcoming memoir, My Time to Stand. The book also‌ explores the sexual abuse she claims to have suffered as a ‌child.

Blanchard alleged that her former ​partner, Nicholas Godejohn –⁣ currently serving a life ⁣sentence for Blanchard’s mother’s murder – also abused ⁣her. She revealed that she ⁤began exploring her sexuality⁢ further while incarcerated but struggled to fully enjoy⁤ the experiences until reconnecting with ‍her current boyfriend, Ken Urker.

"When Ken came into the picture again," she shared, referring to their first sexual encounter, "you’ve got‍ to understand ⁣there ​was seven years of built-up tension there and it was amazing. I ⁢was able to feel agreeable with ⁤him.”

"That’s how we conceived our baby⁢ girl," Blanchard said proudly. "It’s going to be Aurora."

With her parole ending next year, blanchard⁢ is looking forward to motherhood ⁣and⁣ a more private life.

"I’m really excited to just ‍obviously bring ‍her into ⁣the world and have a lot⁤ of⁣ family time together," ⁢ she said. "I’m transitioning to a⁢ more private life,‌ but it’s⁢ going ‌to be a slow transition."
