O Manchester City received the Bayern Munchen this Tuesday, at the Etihad Stadium, for the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Champions Leagueand went ahead by 3 to 0. Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Haaland were responsible for the goals.
The two teams face each other again on April 19, on a Wednesday, at 4 pm (Brasília time), at the Allianz Arena, in Munich, Germany.
City are looking for their first title in the competition. The team is undefeated in this edition, with six wins and three draws. Bayern, meanwhile, suffered their first defeat in the current Champions League. The team continues to live a troubled moment after the departure of Julian Nagelsmann and the arrival of Thomas Tuchel.
Following the season, both clubs have commitments for their respective domestic tournaments. Next Saturday City will host Leicester for the English, at 13:30. On the same day, Bayern face Hoffenheim at home, for Germanat 10:30 am.
Painting at Etihad and City on the front
Manchester City, at home at home, did not suffer so much from dangerous moves, but on the other hand applied promising chances against the opponent. After Gundogan’s attempt to score the first goal, it was Haaland who almost opened the scoring.
Sommer went out playing close to the goal and the attacker arrived at speed to try to steal the ball. The goalkeeper, under pressure, tried to shoot and managed to move away, but was scared after the number 9 managed to stop the launch.

Bayern makes mistakes and hosts extend lead
Bayern came back with another face in the second stage. With just eight minutes, goalkeeper Ederson had already made three saves. Despite good creations and a higher performance, the club made a lot of mistakes in passes, giving space to the opponent.
