DIG/ The High Authority for Communication (Hac) announced, on July 12, 2023, the formal notice to online newspapers Médiaposte, Médias241, Lalibreville and La plume for a period of one month.
The four newspapers are accused of having in their publications of May 21 and 22, 2023 dealing with a “supposed displacement” of the president of the UN, Paulette Missambo, in the city of Medouneu, published articles that have seriously damaged the notoriety and reputation of the Union Nationale.
According to these newspapers, during this trip, the delegation of this political party would have been prevented from praying at the tomb of André Mba Obame and chased out of the town of Medouneu by the family of the deceased.
“During their hearings, with the exception of La plume which did not defer to the summons of the Hac, the parties involved acknowledged that this information that these newspapers widely disseminated was false, claiming to have been misled by their sources”I indicated the Hac.
