Hacker Walter Delgatti Neto testifying to the CPMI on the 8th of January
Last week, Walter Delgatti, known as the “Vaza Jato” hacker, testified to the Federal Police, bringing to light information about a meeting between him and Jair Bolsonaro (PL-RJ). Delgatti alleged that Mauro Cid, Bolsonaro’s former aide, witnessed a meeting between him and the former president at the Alvorada Palace in August 2022.
According to Delgatti’s testimony, the meeting between him and Bolsonaro would have been held to discuss the possibility of invading the electronic voting machines. The hacker claimed that it was Carla Zambelli (PL-SP), a federal deputy, who took him to the Alvorada Palace to meet with the reserve captain.
Delgatti reported that Mauro Cid was already present alongside Bolsonaro when he arrived accompanied by Zambelli. The former president was at the time of the meeting over breakfast.
During the conversation, Cid would have heard details about the alleged invasion of electronic voting machines and the hacker mentioned that, after the meeting, he went to the Ministry of Defense.
The testimony also revealed that Delgatti made five visits to the Ministry of Defense with the aim of discrediting the electronic voting machines and the electoral system.
This Friday (25), Mauro Cid appeared at the PF to give a statement as part of an inquiry that investigates the activities of the hacker.
The inquiry in question addresses the actions of Delgatti, who is currently being held since August 2, after being accused of invading the systems of the National Council of Justice (CNJ). These actions, orchestrated by the hacker, were intended to generate suspicion in relation to the judicial system and the electoral process in Brazil.
