The group of hackers Sudan Anonymous have launched an attack on the Websites of banks and the Israel Postal Service during the commemoration of Al Quds Day, the Arabic name for Jerusalem, amid demonstrations in Iran and the occupied Palestinian territories.
According to a statement from the group collected by the Israeli newspaper ‘Yedioth Ahoronoth’, the pirates have assaulted the pages of five financial entities, among them the First International Bank of Israel and the Israeli postal service, which this Thursday night already indicated on its Facebook website that it had registered a computer attack with a denial Of Service Attack, Pick up the N12 chain.
The National Cyber Directorate of Israel has confirmed the attack against the aforementioned entities, although it has indicated that “thanks to the iron defenses” of the web pages “Operations remain possible except for certain interruptions.”
Likewise, the Israeli authority has pointed out that these attacks are limited to the advertising and marketing pages of the banks, and confirmed that the internal systems of the banking entities have not been affected.
