Mumbai: Director Anurag Kashyap opens up about the dark chapters of his life. He revealed that he entered rehab three times and slipped into depression. Anurag suffered from depression for about three years.
He had a heart attack last year. The director also said that her daughter had an anxiety attack due to the threat of rape. After she spoke against the Citizenship Amendment Bill, her daughter started receiving rape threats on social media. Following this, he took a break from Twitter in August 2019. But Anurag stated that he became impatient when the Jamia Milia issue came up. Later he responded through Twitter and participated in the protests in Jamia.
Anurag added that due to the tension caused by the delay in the shooting of the film ‘Almost Pyaar with TJ Bollywood’ and the problems faced by the web series ‘Tandav’, Anurag went to the rehabilitation center three times.
Like many others, he did not have time to wait. He made the film Dobara even in opposite conditions. He also clarified that this is the problem of his and his team’s existence. Anurag’s new film ‘Almost Pyaar with TJ Bollywood’ is all set to release in January 2023.
