Shyamili hanged herself from a fan on the evening of April 25 after writing serious allegations against her husband Sanju alias Ashish in her diary. The diary found after weeks has been handed over to the police by the relatives.
‘He would have sex with my boyfriend in front of me and force me to call him. Then it will be said about each girl. I have to say that too. Forced to quit toddy, beer, vodka, ganja and cigarettes. Forced to watch sex video. Will tell dirty things. When I am back to normal I will ask and fight with Sanju about this. If Sanju had liked me he would not have done anything like this even once. Sanju ruined me.’ – In more than 18 pages written by Shyamili in her own handwriting mixing English and Malayalam, the abuses from her husband and family members are described in detail. The note also says that Sanju had created a Facebook page in his name and chatted with many girls.
Shyamili took her life while representing Ernakulam district in the Kerala Olympic Games in May. death Relatives say that the young woman committed suicide due to dowry harassment by her husband and family and that she had to face severe mental torture at her husband’s house and later even when she returned to her own house.
Shyamili’s sister Shamika says that many things in the diary were written a month before her death. The diary was handed over to the police but no further action was taken. A complaint has been filed against this to the Assistant Commissioner. The police returned the passport as Sanju was likely to leave the country. The police said that since he was not in the country when his sister died, they could not file a case.
