Ashkenazi was hospitalized at the beginning of the week with suspected appendicitis, he was initially expected to undergo surgery but in the end it was decided not to, and he remained hospitalized for a week during which he would receive antibiotics by intravenous infusion. As a result, Ashkenazi was forced to cancel the expected performances, among others a performance that was supposed to be held today in Eilat.

From the hospital, the comedian told all those concerned: “I feel good, I’m joking with my doctors, they’re not really laughing, because they haven’t slept for about 20 hours, but I’m joking, so don’t worry.”
