Finance Minister Fernando Haddad once again criticized the interest rates set by the Central Bank and said he expected change with the measures announced this Tuesday (28).

“Government will do its part waiting for the monetary authority to react as foreseen in the minutes of the Central Bank“, said the minister

The government decided to partially re-charge gasoline and ethanol, and tax the export of crude oil to ensure budget recovery.

“From an economic point of view, the measures being taken today are beneficial for inflation in the medium and long term, which makes room for a drop in interest rates. It’s not me saying it, it’s the minutes of the Central Bank”.
