Fascinating games ahead of us. The draw for the quarterfinals of the State Cup was held today (Thursday) at the offices of the Football Association and invited us to four meetings in the next stage. Focus: Maccabi Haifa will meet Hapoel Hadera, while Maccabi Tel Aviv will meet Maccabi Jaffa of Eran Levy and Dovev Gabay, from League A South.
Hapoel Beer Sheva will also meet Maccabi Petah Tikva, while Bnei Yehuda will face Hapoel Haifa. It should be noted that the games will be played in a home / away format, and according to the new FIFA law, foreign goals will not matter, so if we get a draw at the end of the two games, the teams will go for overtime.
Another thing that is important to note is that unlike the previous stages (in which we received a big dispute in KS) – this time the VAR system will be used in games and will prevent such events. The first games will take place in late January and early February, while the rematch will be in March.
