Hagai Goldenberg, a former player of Maccabi Pat who was associated with the team for years, filed a lawsuit against the team in the Bat Yam regional labor court for a total of NIS 979,556.

Goldberg, who filed the lawsuit through attorney Shay Elias, claims serious charges against the group: issuing fictitious paychecks, non-payment of vacation pay, recovery pay, compensation for not holding a hearing, early notice fees, including non-allocations to the pension fund and severance pay.

Goldberg played for Maccabi PAT for over 9 years, from 2008 until June 23, 2017, when he was fired by Maccabi PAT.

The player demands to receive severance pay of NIS 374,985, recovery fees in the amount of NIS 24,918, vacation days in the amount of NIS 285,323, pension in the amount of NIS 211,000, failure to give advance notice in the amount of NIS 41,665, failure to hold a hearing in the amount of NIS 41,665.

It is further claimed that: “The plaintiff was a player for the defendant, who played in her services for over 9 years and hence, that her bad behavior towards him, including the non-payment of many funds that would have reached the plaintiff over the years, is doubly serious.”

Goldberg further claims that: “From the examination of my client’s salary data, it appears that social conditions were not paid to my client during the entire period of employment, no legal pension provisions were made, including the payment of recovery fees, vacation days, holiday fees, etc.”
