Hagana Street in Nahariya has been reopened to traffic

Another central and important section was completed with the laying of the Nahal Gola (Saar) conduit in the north of Nahariya, now two more sections remain to complete the project
just before the holiday, Last Thursday Hagana street in Nahariya was reopened to vehicle traffic.

The road was opened to traffic after they were completed In place of the complex works to lay the Nahal Gola conduit (Saar) Under the section of the road that was closed for about two months.

During the period when it was closed, vehicle traffic was diverted as well as the public transportation system to the nearby Aliyah Street.

This is a major traffic route that connects the neighborhoods of Rasko and Neve Alon (Amidar) to the city center and near it there are commercial centers, kindergartens and Remez Elementary School.

Throughout the period, a designated axis for pedestrians was maintained and with the completion of the work in this section, sidewalks on both sides were also re-trained along the side of the road.

The works to complete the laying of the Nahal Gola (Sa’ar) conduit, which are being carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Construction and Housing, are now continuing in the last two sections: In front of the Shil Oren parking lot and Shil Norit and also, in the section of Shil Halanit between Aliya Street and Haganah Street. Immediately after the completion of the roof casting in these sections, a promenade with walking and bicycle paths, trees, vegetation, benches and seating areas will be established along the entire route.

These days, work has already begun on the construction of the boardwalk on the eastern side of the truck route: from Trumpeldor Square west toward Yitzhak Sade Barsko Street.
