/ Erbil Club management announced on Thursday that it had contracted with coach Haider Abdul Amir to train its football team, succeeding the resigned coach Abbas Obaid.

Club member Musa Mohsen told Agency: “The administration sat with Coach Al-Hadid and agreed with him on all matters, and he will take over the task immediately.”

He pointed out that “the administration agreed with the new coach to keep the assistant staff and not bring his staff with him due to the difficult financial situation that the Erbil club is going through, and this was approved by the coach except for his need for a fitness coach who will include him with the assistant staff.”

He added, “The new coach confirmed that Erbil’s players are good and that it is possible to keep them, except for minor additions to the defense line.”

After the end of round 12, the Erbil team occupies 15th place in the team standings with 12 points.
