Chalakudy: A student was allegedly beaten up by a two-member gang in Chalakudy and her hair was cut, police said. The complainant revealed that the haircut was by a friendly girl. The police said that the complaint was lodged out of fear of being insulted at home for cutting his hair. The girl had earlier said that she had cut her hair after being beaten by a man and a woman who had arrived in a van. Koratty police are investigating.
