Haitian prime minister summoned for interrogation in the murder of the president

Port-au-Prince Prosecutor Bed-Fore Claude sent a letter to Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henri asking him to come to the prosecutor’s office to testify in the murder of President Jovenel Moise. The head of government spoke on the phone with a murder suspect a few hours after the crime.

The prosecutor asks for a meeting with the minister to find out about his conversations with the alleged offender. AP calls the letter a “carefully worded invitation.” It has phrases such as “would be grateful”, “if you wish.”

In early July, there was an attack on the residence of the President of Haiti. The head of state died from his injuries. More than 40 people were detained in the murder case.
