hajj and umrah packages 2022: Saudi Arabia may exempt travelers from Hajj applications; But only on one condition

by time news
Jeddah: The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has said that there is no impediment to exempting pilgrims from applications submitted by domestic pilgrims for the upcoming Hajj. But this is possible only with one condition. Those who include more than one person in an application at the time of registration are given the opportunity to exclude one of them.

The one who is excluded should not become a mahram

The condition is that the excluded companion must not be the mahram or the man who must be with the woman. Earlier, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah had said that women traveling alone should have a family member who is not allowed to marry. There is also a stipulation that those who are included in the mahram must not have performed Hajj within the last five years. Authorities said the mahram could not be excluded after the Hajj application was accepted by lot. The ministry had yesterday announced the winners of the draw at the request of domestic pilgrims in the country. Earlier, Malkiyya had given the opportunity to any of the applicants to opt out if they had any difficulty in reaching Hajj. This way they can avoid paying their fees.

Favorite package in the next draw

At the same time, the ministry said that those selected through the lottery will not have to wait until the next e-lottery to get the package they want. Many have not received the package they currently prefer. The ministry said the matter was not considered in the first draw. If they are satisfied with the package they are currently receiving, they can go ahead with it. But those who want the pre-selected package can wait until the next draw, officials said. This time, 297,444 people, including expatriates and expatriates, have applied for the Hajj from Saudi Arabia. One and a half lakh of them will get the opportunity to perform Hajj.

Two more immunizations should be given

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has released details of immunizations to be taken by domestic pilgrims. Authorities have recommended that two immunizations be taken. Those who have not been vaccinated against meningitis for the past five years should get this vaccine at least 10 days before going for Hajj. Another vaccine is the seasonal influenza vaccine. Those who have not been vaccinated against the flu should have taken it 10 days before the arrival of Hajj. Only those who have received the Kovid vaccination approved by the Saudi Ministry of Health were eligible to apply for the Hajj this time.
