Former Sri Lanka captain Jayawardene has been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) honors players who have made great strides in international cricket by being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

In this context, it has been decided to add former Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene to the new list of Hall of Fame.

He was instrumental in Sri Lanka winning the T20 World Cup in 2014. He also played in the ICC World Cup 4 finals. Muralitharan of the Sri Lankan team is the 3rd player to receive the Hall of Fame award after Sangakkara.

Similarly, South Africa all-rounder Shaun Pollack has been added to the list. He holds the record of 3000 runs and 300 wickets in Tests and ODIs.

Also on the list is the name of the late Janet Britt, a former England player.
