/ Hamas movement rejected, on Tuesday, the draft proposal of Paris for a temporary ceasefire, considering it a psychological war.

The movement said: “The leaks about the draft Paris Agreement are just psychological warfare and there is no concession to our demands.”

She added that she “will not give up on stopping the war permanently,” stressing her “rejection of stopping the war for a temporary period.”

Earlier, a senior official close to the temporary truce talks in Gaza said that “Hamas received the proposal.” The official added that “the Paris proposal includes a commitment to allow 500 aid trucks into Gaza daily, provide thousands of tents and caravans, and allow for the repair of bakeries and hospitals in the Gaza Strip.”

The official said, “The Paris proposal stipulates an exchange of Palestinian prisoners and Israeli detainees at a ratio of 10 to one,” noting that “the proposal stipulates the release of all Israeli detainees, including women, children under 19, and the elderly, in exchange for the release of a number of Palestinian detainees.”

The source added that the “Paris proposal” allows for the gradual return of displaced civilians to northern Gaza, with the exception of males of military service age.

Ramadan ceasefire comes as US President Joe Biden said on Tuesday that Israel has agreed not to carry out military activities in the Gaza Strip during the month of Ramadan.

He added in statements to the NBC network that there is an agreement in principle on a ceasefire between the Israeli side and Hamas during the release of the hostages. He said, “Ramadan is approaching, and there was an agreement between the Israelis not to carry out any activities during the month of Ramadan, in order to give ourselves time to get all the hostages out.”

Biden warned that Israel risks losing support from the rest of the world as Palestinian deaths continue to rise. The US president also noted in his remarks that Israel has committed to allowing Palestinians to evacuate Rafah in southern Gaza before intensifying its campaign there to destroy Hamas.

It is noteworthy that the war that has been going on for more than 4 months between the Israeli army and Hamas has led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, and pushed about 2.2 million people, the vast majority of the population of the Strip, to the brink of famine.
