Encouragement visit to public officials working during Chuseok holiday on the 16th
“Thanks for making me feel comfortable… Please take better care of me”
Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People Power Party, visited firefighters and police officers on emergency duty during the Chuseok holiday on the 16th to encourage them.
Representative Han visited the 119 Safety Center at Jongno Fire Station and the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in succession that afternoon.
A representative said at Jongno Fire Station, “I came here after much thought, thinking that it would be meaningful to let you know that we can live comfortably thanks to the people who work so hard,” and greeted you, saying, “Thank you for your hard work.”
In particular, one representative said, “I am very worried about the medical (vacancy) situation. I am meeting with medical staff during the holiday and they asked me to tell the fire department that they are ‘so sorry.’” He asked, “Will the number of emergency patient transfers increase during the holiday?”
The fire department responded, “The number of dispatches is decreasing, but the number of transfers is decreasing (because hospitals are not accepting them).”
“I would like to especially apologize to the 119 rescue workers,” said one representative. “Let’s all join forces and do our best so that this can be resolved quickly.”
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency also said, “The police are doing a really good job,” and “We will do a good job as the ruling party. We will do our job well with gratitude.”
He then said, “There are still a few days left until the Chuseok holiday, but I hope you will take better care of the people out of consideration for them.”
Attending the event that day were Representative Han, Secretary General Seo Beom-soo, Supreme Council Member Jang Dong-hyeok, Senior Spokesperson Han Ji-ah, Senior Deputy Floor Leader Bae Jun-young, and Party Leader’s Chief of Staff Park Jeong-ha.
