Good habits do not change and sport continues to occupy your weekends. Le Parisien offers a selection of issues and details the events not to be missed in Île-de-France. Overview.

The poster not to be missed: the Lionesses of Paris 92 welcome Brest

HANDBALL. The Starligue is taking a break this weekend, except for the Limoges – Montpellier match (Saturday) which directly concerns PSG, which has just shone in Germany. The news of the weekend is first in the women’s championship. In the Butagaz League, Paris 92, which took 4th place at Chambray, has a very good showing at Issy-les-Moulineaux. The Lionesses welcome this Friday Brest, current second in the standings, and its internationals, Pauletta Foppa, Alicia Toublanc, and Coralie Lassource who goes opposite her little sister, Déborah.

We also play in the Proligue. Beaten (30-34) in Pontault, Tremblay allowed Dijon to regain the leader’s chair. The Tremblaisiens were joined behind the Burgundians by Saran, while the Pontellois follow at two points. Two days before the end of the regular season, the situation should not change, except perhaps for Pontault who goes to Frontignan (5th) and who can see the latter getting closer before the final day.

Discovery: come and putt and swing in Argenteuil

GOLF. The City of Argenteuil (Val d’Oise) and Ugolf are organizing the 1st Open this Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Parc des Berges, on the banks of the Seine. The first of its kind in France, this free event will offer the public the opportunity to take part in a 3-hole competition, as well as a contest to score a hole-in-one. A golf village will also allow visitors, young and old, to learn about and discover the many activities associated with this sport (mini-golf course, discovery of handigolf, street golf in partnership with the Sports Federation, foot-golf…), and putting and swing workshops, as well as virtual golf.

In 2022, the City of Argenteuil, 3rd city in Ile-de-France and 1st in Val d’Oise, entered into a partnership with Ugolf, a subsidiary of the Duval Group, which manages nearly 30,000 licensees and offers 1,000 partner courses around the world, in order to develop the practice of this sport. Signed for a period of 3 years, this partnership, which celebrated its first anniversary on April 26, has already made it possible to raise awareness, free of charge, of 600 children in the city about this sport and to introduce them to an often unknown sport practice, to a thousand far from the very urban image of Argenteuil.

The number: 2, like the number of Mets games before the verdicts

BASKET. Two ! Like the number of games left to play for Vincent Collet’s Metropolitans by the end of the Betclic Elite regular season. Before facing Paris for a boiling derby on Tuesday during the final day, Victor Wembanyama’s partners are going to Cholet this Friday in a late match for the 30th day. Initially scheduled for April 25, the duel in the Mauges had been postponed due to qualification for the final of a European Cup in Cholet. A final finally lost… and which left its mark on the club. Long in the fight for the top 4 of the ranking, the Choletais remain on 8 losses in 9 days and have slipped to 7th place. For this match they will be without interior Kim Tillie who must undergo chemotherapy following his operation for a testicular tumor.

For their part, the Mets, currently dolphins of Monaco, can almost ensure their second place in the standings – which gives the advantage of the field in the playoffs until a possible final – if successful. La Meilleraie, the emblematic sale of Cholet, will be sold out for the arrival of Victor Wembanyama.

The race of a new kind: the Euphoric

COURSE A PIED. L’Euphorique is the first charity race in support of transgender people. It will take place this Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Jules Ladoumègue sports center, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. This event is organized by the association TRANSpire, which organizes sporting events for transgender, non-binary, intersex and questioning people. Many associations will be present, and fun and sports activities will be organized. The race will start at 1 p.m., and runners will have the opportunity to do laps until 3 p.m.

The competition of the weekend: Epône gets into trials time

VTT. From this Friday, and until Sunday, the city of Epône, in Yvelines, is hosting the 2023 SKF TRIAL UCI Mountain Bike French Cup. The 150 best French and foreign specialists will be present at the Julien Absalon stadium, with the program of very high-level competitions, concerts, a breaking show (Olympic sport 2024).
