Handisport champion, Antia Fatis is walking again after seventeen years in a wheelchair

Seventeen years old in a wheelchair. And then, walking. At the back of her home in Stuckange (Moselle) Anita Fatis consults her diary, standing on her terrace. Stand up is the word. “It was April 28, exactly,” smiles this 58-year-old woman. Since then, nothing is really like before. “It’s just amazing. Those who don’t know what it’s like to stay stuck in an armchair without being able to move can’t understand. Anita Fatis, she has rediscovered for a few weeks the simple pleasure of small steps, and all these daily trips in her charming housing estate.
