Handover of women’s group ration shop to warehouse; Collector action following complaint Dinamalar

Kudalur: A ration shop run by a women’s group in Kudalur for 15 years was handed over to the Co-operative Commercial Road due to various complaints.

There are 10 ration shops under the control of Cooperative Stores and 8 ration shops under the control of Farmers Labor Cooperative Bank in Kudalur. In this, 450 ration cards from the 1st and 3rd Wards under the control of the cooperative warehouse were distributed and handed over to the women’s group of the New Women’s Group 15 years ago. On behalf of this group, a separate ration shop was set up near the North Police Station and supplies were being supplied.

The public complained to Collector Muralitharan due to lack of uniform distribution and various irregularities. On this the Collector ordered to hand over the shop again to the Cooperative Trade Road. In this case, yesterday under the leadership of Uthampalayam Civil Supply Tehsildar Pandi, R.I. Balamurugan, Registrar Imayavarman, all the ration items in this shop were taken over and kept in the warehouse office. Officials said that a separate shop will be set up in a day or two and the distribution of ration items will be done through the warehouse.
