PKB Official Warns Effendy Choirie, Calls PBNU Interference “Unethical”

Deputy General Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Hanif Dhakiri issued a stern warning to Effendy Choirie, an administrator of the Nasdem Party, following his recent interventions in PKB affairs.
Hanif expressed concern that Effendy’s actions could damage inter-party relations. ”Mr. Effendy Choirie is a Nasdem Party administrator. Take care of your own party. Why are you interfering with PKB? It’s unethical. It could damage relations between parties,” he said.
Hanif further alleged that Effendy’s behavior in shaking up PKB could be reported to the General Chairman of the Nasdem Party, Surya Paloh.
However, the Minister of Manpower during President Jokowi’s Working Cabinet, KH Ma’ruf Amin, supported Effendy Choirie’s statement that PKB and Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) do not have a structural relationship.
Hanif seemed confused by this, as he expressed no prior knowledge of any wrongdoing by PKB that would warrant such treatment from PBNU officials.
