jpnn.comSURABAYA – The East Java Regional Representative Council of the People’s Conscience Party (Hanura) has proposed Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO) to serve as the general chairman of the DPP for the 2024-2029 period.
The proposal was the result of the Regional Leadership Meeting (Rapimda) forum held in Surabaya.
Rapimda also pushed for the National Conference (Munas) to be accelerated from its initial date of December to be held no later than September 2024.
Chairman of the East Java Hanura DPD, Yunianto Wahyudi, explained that the implementation of the national conference which took place earlier was expected to optimize the party’s preparations for the Regional Head Elections (Pilkada).
“All DPCs of regencies/cities in East Java have agreed to ask the DPP of the Hanura Party to accelerate the National Conference Process to a maximum of September 2024 so that preparations for the 2024 Pilkada and early preparations for the 2029 Election can be much more optimal,” said Yunianto, Sunday (27/7).
Yunianto revealed the reason the East Java DPD re-proposed Oso as a candidate for general chairman, because he was considered worthy of leading Hanuar in the future. The General Chairman of Hanura since 2016 is considered to have succeeded in making a breakthrough.
“Agreed to ask for the willingness of Mr. Dr. H. Oesman Sapta to return as the General Chairperson of the DPP Hanura Party for the 2024-2029 period,” said Yunianto, who is familiarly called Masteng.
Meanwhile, regarding the recommendation for the proposed gubernatorial candidate, Hanura East Java will decide in early August.
