Hapoel Tel Aviv has been in the player market since the summer, more precisely from the moment it lost Tyrrick Jones. As you may recall, Dwan Hernandez came in with a contract from which the club has exit options, and now it seems the Reds and Whites are close to joining Josh Evans (32, 2.06) who has already played for the club in the 2013/14 season.
Evans started the season in the uniform of Unicus Nikaias from the Greek league, but the player’s contract has an option to leave at any stage that he will take advantage of if he concludes in the club ranks. Returning to a second term at Hapoel Tel Aviv also means a reunion with Jacoben Brown, with whom he collaborated in the 2018/19 season in the Hapoel Jerusalem uniform.
In his previous term in Israel, in the Hapoel Jerusalem uniform, the player averaged 9.8 points and 6.9 rebounds in a season that was stopped in the semi-finals of the League Four against Maccabi Rishon Lezion, but with the State Cup. Evans has since played for Reggio Emilia (Italy), Ashkenazi (Turkey), Metropolitan 92 (France) and now, as mentioned, in Greece.
