Hapoel Jerusalem won tonight (Saturday) 0:2 against Sektia Nes Ziona and continues its fantastic season. After conceding three times last week from stationary situations and being defeated 4:1 by Hapoel Beer Sheva, Ziv Aryeh’s team scored from two corners (Unjay Bacho in the 8th minute and Goni Noor in the 49th minute) and is with 20 points after 10 rounds . Last season it took her 24 rounds to get there.
Hapoel Jerusalem made three changes in the lineup, with Ziv Aryeh deciding to start with five foreign outfield players and therefore dropping Adebayo Adeli to the bench. After an early advantage, the game developed in a very clear way: Ness Ziona held the ball more and tried to attack with large forces – and Jerusalem started transitions through the fast Jordan Butaka and Cedric Don. The host did miss one good chance, but beyond that Jerusalem had the opportunities, which could (and should) have gone into the half with a 0:3 lead and settled for 0:1.
Nir Berkovich made a triple substitution at halftime, but Nes Ziona suffered the 2:0 four minutes into the second half and finally broke. The oranges looked like they were just waiting for the game to end, Jerusalem sent hungry substitutes who were not far from further conquests and in the end 0:2 easy for Hapoel Jerusalem.
