The men’s group
Hapoel Kfar Saba qualified for the playoff semifinals, after defeating Maccabi Hod Hasharon 0: 3 in the quarterfinals.
Both games were under the full control of Kfar Saba, which has improved very recently and looks strong and ready for the semi-final series, where it will meet Hapoel Mate Asher / Acre. The joining of foreigner Stefan Oksnovitz together with Tamir Hershko and Alex Shapernovich, made the group very attractive.
The first game was held on Saturday as part of a double show with the women’s team (defeated Ashdod), in the “Bar Lev” hall, which was filled with hundreds of fans, who enjoyed a magical evening of volleyball. Hapoel Kfar Saba received favorable reactions to the organization and the great atmosphere.
In the second game held on Tuesday, Kfar Saba defeated Hodash without difficulty 17:25; 19:25; 17:25. Stefan Okosnovich (13 points) and Tamir Hershko (9 points) excelled in the KPS. Hod Hasharon finished the regular season in fourth place, but in the playoffs lost all but one of its games (defeated Kiryat Ata) and finished the season in a disappointing sixth place. Coach Tomer Rusiansky: “We built ourselves into fourth place, but in the playoffs it happened that foreigner Vladimir Tabakon was under pressure because his wife was in the battle zone in Ukraine, and only recently the family was reunited in the country.”
The women’s group
Of Hapoel Kfar Saba will host Kiryat Ata on Friday (14:30, Bar Lev) in the first game of the playoff quarterfinal series.
Kfar Saba finished the season in second place, after beating Maccabi Ashdod 1: 3 this week.

On Tuesday, the women’s team of Hapoel Kfar Saba will face Hapoel Kiryat Ata (18:00), and if they win, they will meet the winner between Maccabi Haifa and Maccabi Ashdod in the cup final on Thursday.
