Title: Police remove Hapoel Tel Aviv fans from sports field for desecrating memorial

Following a recent announcement from Hapoel Tel Aviv, two of its representatives were interrogated by the Beer Sheva police station. The police reported that four fans were removed from the sports fields and that three of them were immediately removed for 60 days. Another fan was arrested after violating an order of removal from the sports fields.

The police state that this action followed a shameful behavior of some Hapoel Tel Aviv fans during a basketball game in Be’er Sheva. The fans were desecrating a commemoration ceremony in memory of the martyrs of the Israel Police and the Border Guard. During this event, 59 martyrs of the Israel Police were remembered, and their families were present. An investigation was launched to locate the fans who disrupted the ceremony.

Four fans, including a minor, were detained for violating public order during the commemoration ceremony. Three fans received immediate removal from the sports fields for 60 days. Another fan was arrested for violating an order of removal from the sports fields.

Hapoel Tel Aviv has claimed that two of the individuals being investigated are part of the club and responded by stating that the police’s role is not to take revenge or harm officials. The club has called on the management of the Premier Basketball League to intervene in the matter.

Chief Commissioner Rav Tsev Jacob Saturn condemned the behavior of the fans and praised the Israel Police Officers of the Southern District for acting quickly and with zero patience. He ensured that the police will continue to commemorate the martyrs of the Israel Police and embrace the bereaved families.
