At least 6 people were detained in Hrodna

In Horodny, security forces detained at least 6 people. Information about this appeared in pro-government channels.

Human rights activists note that among those detained is a former puppet theater actor and showman Aleksandar Jendzejewski. As far as is known, he was detained on May 10. Security forces also showed a video with the detained deputy general director of the Gemma store in Hrodna. They showed a photo of a woman standing in a sling at a protest. The names of two more detainees are known — Andrei Taurel and Valery Parulis.

A resident of Asipovichi faces 6 years in prison for a 12-second video

The detainee’s name Ruslan Rabkavec. The exact date of his arrest is unknown, but there is information that the UKGB officers in the Mogilev region caught him right at his workplace. A 33-year-old resident of Asipovichi worked at the agricultural enterprise “BNBK-AGRA”, human rights activists report. MAYDAY.

In early January 2023, Ruslan Rabkavets was traveling on a passenger train when he saw wagons with military equipment near the “Vereitsy” railway station.

According to the USC for the Mogilev region, he sent the video clip to the “UKontakte” DVIZ, which is recognized by the Belarusian authorities as “extremist”. It should be noted that the video itself lasts only 12 seconds and nothing actually happens in it – the train with military equipment is just standing at the station.

After some time, the man was detained by KGB officers. He was charged under Part 1 of Article 361-4 (facilitating extremist activity) of the Criminal Code of Belarus. The man faces up to 6 years in prison.

The political prisoner Oleg Rubts was allegedly placed in a penal institution

From Oleg Rubts there is no news for more than a month, relatives report on social networks. In a recent letter, he wrote that he has several fines, so they can be sent to SHIZA.

Oleg was detained on August 10, 2020 for participating in mass riots on the night of August 9-10 in Pinsk (Part 2, Article 293 of the Criminal Code). During his detention, he was severely beaten. On April 30, 2020, Rubts was sentenced to 5.5 years in a penal colony.

In June 2022, Oleg Rubts was transferred from the colony to pre-trial prison No. 8 in Zhodzina for three years, according to the decision of the Novopolotsk judge Olga Balik. In the colony, his regular was placed in the SHIZA, and also kept in the PKT.

At the beginning of 2022, there were no letters or calls from Oleg for 2.5 months. Later it turned out that he was thrown into a penal institution for 60 days.
