‘Happy New Year’ EP. Jayarajan; CPM Secretariat discussed the allegation

Thiruvananthapuram: There is currently no investigation into the allegations against EP Jayarajan. Today’s C.P.M. Although illegal acquisition of property was discussed in the state secretariat meeting, CPM state secretariat decided not to investigate EP for the time being.

EP Jayarajan attended the meeting and explained what he had to say. It is learned that Jayarajan has also explained about the shares of his wife and son in relation to the resort.

EP Jayarajan was not ready to respond to the media after the secretariat meeting. He only replied ‘Happy New Year’ to everyone.

Meanwhile, the Youth Congress filed a complaint with the vigilance, alleging that EP Jayarajan used his influence as a former industry minister to carry out illegal activities.

The government should be allowed to conduct investigations against former ministers and people’s representatives. Therefore, Vigilance Director Manoj Abraham has handed over the file to the Home Department for further action on the complaint. Action will be taken on the complaint only if the Home Department under the Chief Minister gives permission.

The complaint has also demanded an investigation into illegal activities and money laundering in the name of the resort. The complaint also states that the Antur municipal chairman and the officials had conspired.
