by time news

Anbumani Ramadoss, president of BAMA, said that he is happy that the 40-year-old banyan tree, which was cut down, has been replanted.

In this regard, he said on his Twitter page, a 40-year-old banyan tree that was cut down from the roadside in Soonampedu village, Chengalpattu district, has been replanted in the government high school in the same area. Glad to see a fallen banyan tree revived!

Ever since the banyan tree was cut down in Soonampet, the Green Garden has been making continuous efforts to revive it. It is because of this that it is possible. This is a victory for the Greens. Appreciation to the Green House administrators for that!

I would like to express my gratitude to Chengalpattu District Collector, Horticulture Department officials and Regional Development Department officials who accepted the request of the Green Department and arranged to replant the felled banyan tree!

Our duties do not end with banyan tree planting. The horticulture department should monitor the banyan tree till it sprouts again and take necessary measures. The government should ensure that the banyan tree grows back and is protected! He mentioned thus.
