Indian football legend IM Vijayan and Wahid Sali participated in the road show that made the noise of the world football giant. The ex-players took the audience by the hand with a road show when the welcome team arrived at the office for the inauguration of the one-month mega event – “Soccer Vibes 22” organized by “RAFA”, a sports lovers’ association based at Kolatara Rahiman Bazar. In what turned out to be a gathering of football fans, opener IM Vijayan and former national player Wahid Sali were escorted from Modern Bazar to Rahiman Bazar. The road show, attended by thousands, heralded the World Cup of Football. Then IM Vijayan inaugurated the welcome party office.
Wahid Sali, Councilor Premalatha Thekuveetil, Rafa Convenor E Adam Malik and Firdaus Parampath spoke.
The game will be screened on a big LED screen from November 20 to December 18 under the patronage of Rafa. Sufi music night, cultural evening with dignitaries, anti-drug talk show, food court, prize schemes, talent felicitation and football quiz will also be organised.
