Harapan Bersama Polytechnic (Poltek Harber) attended the 2023 Vocational Higher Education Academic Directorate Program Appreciation event held by the Academic Directorate of Vocational Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) some time ago in Yogyakarta. Academic Director of Vocational Higher Education (APTV), Benny Bandanadjaja expressed his gratitude for the contribution that has been made by vocational colleges so far. “For the services and contributions of vocational colleges, the Ministry of Education and Culture gives its appreciation to institutions, researchers, lecturers, partners, and professional certification institutions (LSP) at vocational colleges,” said Benny. Harapan Bersama Polytechnic succeeded in winning two awards in this prestigious event in the vocational field, namely being ranked 1st in Vocational Colleges (PTV) in Community Service (PKM) activities based on the number of titles and funds to lecturer ratio, and being ranked 3rd. PTV in publications is based on the number and quality of publications to the ratio of lecturers. Meanwhile, another private PTV, namely Caltex Polytechnic, received an award in PKM activities based on the number of titles and funds to the lecturer ratio and PTV ranked 3rd in Research activities based on the number of titles and funds to the lecturer ratio. The award was handed over directly by the Director General of Vocational Education at the Ministry of Education and Culture, Kiki Yuliati, to the Director of Harapan Bersama Polytechnic, Agung Hendarto. Kiki Yuliati said that giving this award was a step to encourage and continue to motivate vocational universities to always improve the quality and quality of vocational higher education. “Vocational education has currently contributed the largest percentage to the increase in the workforce in Indonesia,” said Kiki Agung Hendarto, expressing his gratitude for the appreciation achieved by Poltek Harber because it was able to compete with all Vocational Universities in Indonesia, both countries. and private. “Hopefully this appreciation will bring us together to always contribute to science and society,” said Agung. “Congratulations to the Harber Poltek lecturers for their extraordinary achievements in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education field,” he added. On the other hand, Ginanjar Wiro Sasmito, as Deputy Director for Public Relations and Cooperation, who also took part in the appreciation activity by the Director of APTV, said that this achievement was one of the most beautiful gifts at the end of the year for Harber Polytechnic which should be grateful for and proud of together, not only by lecturers, staff, and students only, but also for alumni, partners and stakeholders.
