Kuwait City: Dahir Al Suwayan, head of the Kuwait Federation of Fishermen, said that the presence of pirates in Kuwait is causing major problems. More than 20 fishing boats were looted by pirates in three days. Many fishermen in Fahaheel or Sharq region do not want to work and fish in the sea for fear of robbery.

Pirates are looting their entire fishing and navigation equipment, refrigeration equipment and fish. Other personal property of fishermen is also looted. He said that two red colored boats were observed and each had the presence of four pirates. He added that the situation is dangerous and concerned authorities should take initiative to protect the fishermen.

Meanwhile, the General Administration of Emergency Police and General Traffic Department reported that 10,448 violations were detected in Kuwait over three months related to excessive noise that disturbs people in vehicles.

The administration has stated that security and traffic campaigns will continue rigorously in all parts of the country to arrest law violators and traffic violators, monitor and track vehicles emitting nuisance noises. Also, in case of violations of the law, the authorities can call the emergency number “112” or contact the number “99324092” through WhatsApp. The inspection to find irregularities in the driving license of expatriates in Kuwait is also continuing.
