Cancer, everyone’s heart trembles when they hear this name. Only one who has suffered from this terrible life consuming disease can understand its true pain. Many people have given up their lives and lives in front of the deadly monster cancer. But there are only a few who fight cancer and survive. Among the names of those who beat this deadly disease, the name of India’s former star cricketer Yuvraj Singh is also included.
Yuvraj Singh was one of the first players in India’s struggle to win the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup. No matter where Dhoni’s name is mentioned for winning trophies, Yuvraj Singh’s name is first in the list of those who made it possible.
Yuvraj vomited blood in pain and played!
Yuvraj Singh, who coughed and played in pain in the World Cup matches, vomited blood in the match against West Indies. Then Indian team physio Nitin Patel went to Yuvraj’s room to give him sleeping pills. Then Yuvraj told him, “Let that god take whatever he wants from me. In this case, Harbhajan Singh has opened his heart about the days Yuvraj Singh battled with cancer. Talking about Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan said, “Yuvraj Singh’s health was very unwell at that time. His face is always sad with concern. He coughs profusely on the field even while batting. When he was coughing continuously, I asked him ‘Why am I coughing so much? Does your age have anything to do with it?’ I have scolded.
We don’t know what he was doing to recuperate. He played in the World Cup with cancer. We have made fun of him not knowing what his condition is. But it was only later that we got to know everything. Congratulations to the champion,” Harbhajan Singh told Star Sports.
He also said, “He has helped the Indian team to win the World Cup not once but twice. I think India would not have won the 2011 World Cup without Yuvraj Singh. There was never a player like Yuvraj in the past and not now. Players like him are unique,” Harbhajan added.
