Hard morning: A factory worker in the Sgula industrial area in Petah Tikva, about 60 years old, a resident of Rosh HaAyin, was killed this morning in a work accident when he was crushed by a flour machine. Yossi Eckler, a paramedic from the Rescue Union, said: “Unfortunately, his death was determined due to the nature of the serious injuries he suffered. Firefighters worked to rescue his body from the dough machine in which he was trapped while working in the factory.”

The police said that they were investigating the circumstances of the work accident and that a representative of the Ministry of Labor had been called to the scene.

MDA Rescue Petah Tikva reported that the volunteer paramedics together with MDA paramedics performed medical tests and were forced to determine Hapoel’s death. Hezki Farkash, a senior medic in the motorcycle unit of MDA Rescue Petah Tikva, said: “When we arrived at the scene, we found the worker crushed from a flour machine in the factory when he was not alive. The paramedics performed medical tests and determined his death on the spot.”

MDA paramedic Odelia Molkandov and senior MDA medic Chai Takach said: “The worker trapped inside the machine was unconscious with a severe injury to his upper body. We performed medical tests but he was without signs of life and we have no choice but to determine his death.”
