On September 5, Hard Rock Cafes around the world celebrate the birthday of Freddie Mercury, born in Zanzibar in 1946, with a musical evening that pays homage to the artistic and cultural legacy that an authentic music legend has left us. Even the Hard Rock Cafes in Florence, Rome and Venice celebrate the story and music of the frontman of the most loved rock band of all time, with live music programming entirely dedicated to his successes and those of his band.
In the Cafe in Via Brunelleschi in Florence on the evening of 5 September starting at 21.00, it will be possible to attend the show by Killer Queen, the first cover band in Europe, active since 1995, made up of some of the best musicians in the Florentine area and recognized by We Will Rock You (Official Italian Queen Fan Club) as “official tribute band” for Italy. The Killer Queens have always proposed their own tribute “philosophy”, focused not so much on the physical resemblance as on the passion and quality of the proposed show. They were Kerry Ellis’ band in 2012 and in 2015 at the Verona Arena they performed as a support band to guitarist Brian May.
In Rome, on Freddie’s birthday, Queen Rocks will perform from 9.30pm to 11.30pm. Their immoderate passion for the English quartet, which dates back to their adolescence, has led them to interpret the performances as faithfully as possible, so much so that instrumentation and amplification are similar to the originals and the executions are studied in detail. The frontman of the tribute band is Andrea Prestianni, a musician who participated in the 2015 X Factor edition, gifted with great vocal power and extraordinary interpretative ability.
In Venice, on the other hand, from 21.00 to 23.00 the evening will be enlivened by the Victoria Queen Tribute Band, with a dynamic and engaging visual show, accompanied by extravagant costumes with a decisive and theatrical look. Star of the evening Manolo Soldera, who with his vocal mastery has joined internationally renowned artists such as Anastacia, Al Jarreau, Dolores O’Riordan, Tony Hadley and trodden stages such as Sanremo and Festival Show. A show not to be missed, which already last year saw a great success with the public.
