Hard to watch: A mutant with the face of a monkey and the body of a cat caused panic

A mutant kitten caused panic after its pictures were posted online. Many believers claimed that this is a creature that brings with it bad luck, but on the other hand, a veterinarian who was present at the litter explained that this is the result of malnutrition and old age of the mother.

A strange creature that looks like an alien, or like a cross between a cat and a monkey, escapes together with his kitten brothers, their appearance is completely normal but his is unusual. The puppy belonged to Michael Severino, an agriculture student from the Philippines. Superstitious residents claimed that it was an “evil spirit” that entered the kitten’s body before it was released into the world.

The poor creature was born with two eyes that seem to have joined and become one, a body almost bare of hair and he only survived about half an hour after the birth. Severino, who now intends to keep the body of the mutant cat who was condemned to be buried in a jar with a preservative, said: “There were four kittens and one of them was born different … He looks like a monkey and has a horn on his head. I’m not sure if it’s the nose.”

The believers informed the owner that the “evil spirit” could be an “angcanto”, a humanoid creature in the folklore of the Philippines. According to “All About Asia”, Angkantu “are known for having negative effects on health and luck. Those who angered them suffered from depression, madness, serious illnesses and some even disappeared. Some of their sons are good but most of them are bad.”

Severino claimed that the fact that the cat looks strange does not necessarily indicate that it is cursed. He assumes that the reason for the birth of the mutation is most likely the older age of the eight-year-old mother cat. He added: “The vet who was present at the litter said that the mutant creature was born as a result of his mother’s malnutrition and as a result of his age.”
